Hi runners of Kentucky.
We here in St Louis are hosting our 3rd annual relay race June 3rd, 2017, on the Katy Trail. We are inviting regional running clubs to enter a team, enjoy the scenic Katy Trail, meet other groups from around the region, and just have some real fun. The race begins in St Louis and finishes in Hermann MO. Our host winery provides a post race celebration serving wine and authentic German food, followed by an awards ceremony in the town amphitheater. If you would like more information, please contact me at 314-727-0800.

Hello
I?m reaching out to local running clubs to see if there is any interest in running in the 2016 Bourbon Chase (10/14-10/15) and I was hoping you could pass this on to the runners in your club.
I have a team for the 2016 Bourbon Chase (October 14-15) and due to an unfortunate medical situation with the captain of our Van#2 ? we now have a full van open and are looking for a team of 6 runners to take over Van #2 (ideally looking for a group to take the entire 6 spots). All pace runners are welcome on the team and we will be giving the spot to the first group that is interested.
Can you pass this on to members of your running club?
I can be reached on my cell phone at any time ? (847) 830-1907.
Thank you in advance!

Do you promote running races? I am with the Iroquois Hill Runners and we in conjunction with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program are putting on a 5K run/walk on Tues. Aug. 11 at 6:30pm at Iroquois Park. Let me if this is possible to put on your calendar.

I wanted to give the group the heads up about an event being held in Owensboro called the Moonlight Bootlegger 5k. Its a nighttime trial run that has bluegrass music and moonshine cocktails at the finish. We would love to have the Ketucky Stampede running group join us for the race. If you have any questions or even want to sign up, feel free to contact me.

Didn?t know if you could share his info with your runners?Unified Relay Across America, May 26-July 10, three routes coming through your area! We will have a stop over in Louisville with a celebration!

The 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games will take place this July in Los Angeles, CA. These Games return to the U.S. for the first time in sixteen (16) years and it will likely be a very long time before they return! The Opening Ceremonies are set for Saturday, July 25 and will be televised live (3 hrs) on ESPN with a law enforcement officer and athlete carrying the torch into the LA Opening Ceremonies.

In mid-May, the torch will originate from Athens, Greece and make its way to the east coast of the U.S. On May 26, it will begin its journey across the country making its way through every state on the way to LA. It will do this via the Unified Relay Across America that will include three routes (north, central & southern). It will travel through Kentucky (the central route) on June 2 to June 8 from Cincinnati to Lexington to Frankfort to Louisville to Bowling Green to Paducah with planned stops in some of these cities.

The URAA is both an awareness and fundraising event. The general public has the ability to fundraise and earn a spot to carry the torch. For more information about the URAA and/or how YOU and YOUR TEAM can be a part of the Run visit www.unfiedrelay.org. You can participate as an individual or as a team and raise money to purchase a segment (each segment is ½ mile). Regular segments are $1,000 and premium segments are $2,500 (areas of higher population, higher visibility, etc.). All money raised is a revenue share between the Special Olympics state program, the World Games and the International Law Enforcement Torch Run.

I hope you can share this with your club members! Thanks!

I'm interested in my kids being a part of KY Stampede as our elementary school in Oldham County does not have a cross country team. I would like to speak to someone to get more information about joining your team.
